Express Entry: A three-stage Citizenship and Immigration Canada process where the applicants who are interested need to submit the Express Entry (EE) form online. The applicants are assessed against certain criteria by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The potential applicants who have met the requirements are kept into the pool
of eligible candidates. Invitation to Apply (ITA) will be issued after the profiles of the applicants are identified by the government. Only the candidates who have received ITA would be eligible for applying for permanent residence.
Requirements for Online for EE:
- Details about work experience
- Language proficiency
- Educational qualification details
- Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), will be given for the candidates based on the above factors. All the applicants under EE pool will be allocated 1200 points based on the following criteria
- Skill and work experience - 500 Points
- Factors for Common law or Spouse contributed to 500 points. This would include language skills and education
- Skills transferability would cover up to 100 points that will include
- Those with a nomination from a territory or a province would get additional 600 points.
Once the ITA is received, three will be duration of 60 days to file an application to get permanent residence.
Arranged Nominations or PNP Nominations
Candidates must register for Employment and Social Development Canada’s (ESDC), who don’t have an arranged employment Job offer. ESDC is a job bank where candidates can promote themselves; it will help the candidates to get connected with employers in Canada. The Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is also similar to the ESDC program under the EE.
EE Draws and ITA:
Once the potential applicants are pooled as per the defined ranking system, draws are organized. The draws would select candidates randomly, and those candidates are requested to submit a complete application for Permanent residency in Canada. The minimum CRS score is set for each draw based on the inventory.
